SMITH-BURDETT WEDDING
AT CROSS HILL
Cross Hill, Aug. 2.—Thursday even
ing, July 23, at 8 o’clock, Miss Ethel
Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.
C. Smith, became the bride of Colum
bus Roy Burdett of Lanford.
The wedding, which took place at
the hogie of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Fuller,
uncle and aunt of, the "bride, was
beautiful in its simplicity. The at
tractive country home of Mr. and
Mrs. Fuller marie a lovely setting for
the occasion. The reception hall and
parlor, already inviting^with ivory
trimmings, were thrown into one and
made an ideal place for the wedding
ceremony. The color scheme, green
and white, was carried out. Ferns,
asparagus and white roses were used
for decoration.

as ringbearer* daintily dressed m
white organdie and carrying a tiny
silver tray. She was followed by lit
tle Mary Ellen and Lyl Adams, flow
er girls, carrying Marie Antoinette
baskets filled with petunias. (
The bride, lovely in an ensemble
suit of ashes of roses crepe satin with
accessories to match and carrying a
bouquet of bride roses and ferns en
tered with the groom. They were
met at the improvised altar by the
Rev. E. A. Fuller of Greenville, cou
sin of the bride, who performed the
ceremony, using the impressive ring
ceremony. . ... . .
The guests were then invited into
the dining room, simply and Ustily
