Nash Motors Company
— Has Bright Future
\ * “
At a meeting of the directors of the
Nash Motors company held alfew days
ago, dividend action was taken in the
form of an extra dividend of $6.50
per share a regular semi-annual (divi
dend of $3.50 per shar£ on the common
stock of ihe company, payable August
1, 1925, to holders of common stock
of record at the close of business July
20, 1925, and a quarterly dividend of
$1.75 per share on ^he outstanding
preferred stock of the company, pay
able August !•, 1925, to holders of
preferred stock of record at the close
of business - JuTy^2071925. This in
formation has been given out by J.
K. Hatton, well known local Nash
dealer.
President C. W. Nash reported that
the net income for the three months
ended May 31, 1925, after deducting
expenses of manufacturing, including
depreciation, selling, and administra
tive expenses and local, state and fed
eral taxes, amounted to $4,193,850.11,
as compared with $1,501,000.35 for
the same period a year ago. r
The value of sales for the three
months of this year shows an increase
of 100.5 per cent over the correspond
ing quarter of'1924.
Commenting on the business out
look, Presdient Nash said he regarded
future prospects for the company es
being very bright. He sees nothing
in general conditions throughout the
country to warrant anxiety with ref
erence to continued satisfactory busi
ness. He expects industry in general
to proceed in a prosperous manner and
estimates the outlook for this com
pany as more favorable than ever
before. Orders on hand are greatly
in excess of our ability to ship.
Quite a program of expansion has

Mrs. D. M. Douglas and daughters^

Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Copeland have

Mrs. R. C. Collins has returned

in Atlanta.
Misses Elizabeth Tribble and Lillian
Quinn and Mr. Rr\ L. Plaxico , of
Blacksburg, left yesterday for a
week’s stay at Bonclarken, N. C.
- Dr. and Mrs. William Steinmeyer
and" daughters, Misess Maude Marie
and Alma, of Beaufort, are visiting
nearly capable of filling the orders of
the Nash dealer body. When these
added facilities are gvaftable, another
spring selling season should see A hc
company able to manufacture at loasi
one hundred more automobiles per
day than was possible during the last
period.
“It is no more than fair,’* stated
Mr. Nash, .“to say that ou?-product is
being received by the public in a waj»
that justifies us in feeling that our
cars, are winning real popularity and
that Wfe are enjoying a gfeater and
more favorable esteem in the minds
of buyers than at any previous time^
in the history of^the company. I do
not thin!; it is out of place to refer
to the Ajax Six! Production by the
Ajax Motors company is proceeding
on a limited basis and the product has
been sufficiently well tested and
proved by the public to-confirfn our
expectations of a splendid future for
the company.’ *
