Adair has returned from a week’s visit to her daughter, Mrs. Lewis Henderson, of Blairs. Miss Robbie Parks was called home last Thursday on account of the death of her father. ’The friends of Mrs. J. Friends of “Bud” Ray will be glad to know he is doing nicely after an operation for appendicitis at Dr. Hays Hospital. Mrs. Irvin Coleman spent the past week-end in Atlanta visiting friends. Davis has retyrned from Charleston where he attended the’cen- tennial celebration of the South Caro lina Medical College. Miss Maude Ellis, of Columbia, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Ellis, for the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. N, A. Young, of Co lumbia, were in the city Saturday for the Young-Godfrey wedding. The ladies are asked to attend the demonstration held by the Hospital Association on Saturday. Mr. Ell Briggs, of Kansas City, Mo., arived In the city Saturday to visit his mother, Mrs. Jennie Briggs, who has been tpiite ill for some time. Mrs. James L. Browning and chil dren recently visited her mother, Mrs. J. C. Adams, in Newberry. Mrs. R. W. Wade spent the past week-end with relatives in Chester. Misp Francis O'Daniel has return ed from several days’ stay with her sister, Miss Clara Louise O’Daniel, at Winthrop College. Mr. James' L. Browning attended the centennial celebration of South Carolina Medical College in Charles ton last week. Mrs. Sara Stroud and son, Mr. Carey Stroud, of Enoree, spent Sat urday in town and attended the Wed ding of the former’s granddaughter, Miss Emmie Young. Phillips, of Spartanburg, are receiving the con gratulations of their friends upon the arrival of a daughter on November 14. Mrs. Phillips was before her mar riage Miss Mary King.
