Simpson was in Union Friday where he attended the funeral of Mrs.’ Simpson's father. Mesdames D. W. Ferguson, Douglas Gray, R. D. Mrs. Will Dupree, Jr., of Abbevillh, was the guest of Mrs. Jodie Chand ler on last Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Galloway, of Abbeville, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Jacobs Tuesday and at tended the Commercial dab banquet. Prof, and Mrs. H. E. Sturgeon and little daughter attended the P. C.-Wof- ford game in Spartanburg last Thurs day. Mrs. W. H. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hearn spent last Wednesday in Greenville. Mr. Will Bell, of Greenville, was a visitor in the city Friday. Mr. H. D. Hudson, of North Caro lina, recently visited his brother, Mr. U. U. Hudson. Miss Bertha Gray Gallman was a week-end visitor in Newberry. Mrs. W. H. Simpson and little daughter have returned from a two weeks stay in Uunion. The many friends of Mrs. Siiqpson deeply sym pathize with her in the death of her father. Mr. Hardigree, of Atlanta, and Mr. T. Q. Jones, of Greenville, visited Mr. U. U. Hudson last Week. Mrs. E. E. Glenn, of Spartanburg, has returned home after'spending a few days visiting relatives. Misses Louise Muldrow and Mary Lou Romedy spent the week-end in Rock Hill visiting relatives. Hopkins Jr., of Colum bia, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. Z. Wright Sunday. • . . Mr. Stephen Wright, of Houston, Texas, is on an extended visit to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Z.
