Wiggins, of Garnet, stopped over with Rev. and Mrs. L. E. Wiggins the past week en route to Chicago and Peoria, 111. Mrs. P. S. BailCy and Mrs. Rebecca Shands recently spent several days at Glenn Springs. Misses Elizabeth and Margaret Douglas left the past week for a short stay at Brevard, N. C. Messrs. T. D. Copeland, Irby S. Hipp, Thomas Heath and Carrol White Copeland were in Newberry on Fri day. Messrs. C. W. Stone, J. K. Hatton, Guy L. Copeland and C. R. Miss Harriett Wiggins is visiting relatives in Orangeburg and Bam berg. Mr. and Mrs. Claud Boyd and chil dren, of Charleston, are guests of Mrs. M. J. Ferqueron. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Horton and family spent Wednesday with Mr. and, Mrs. E. W. Stone in Union. Mrs. M. B. Hipp and little Miss Irene and Master Mack B. visited relatives in town recently. Mrs. Eugene Pratt and children, of Greenwood, are guests of Mrs. Pratt’s mother, Mrs. Mary Prather. Miss Mary Norman apent a few days this week in Greenwood. Miss Mary Wilson has as her guest her sister, Miss Sarah Wilson, of Ab beville. Mr. and Mr. Clarence Copeland spent Sunday in Spartanburg. Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Adair, who were recent vstors at Glenn Sprngs, are now at home. Little Miss Roena and Master Ralph Bennett, who were guests of their little cousins, Kathryn and Elizabeth Blakely, for the past three weeks, have returned to their home at Foun tain Inn. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Simpson and little sons, of Bishopville, visited their mother, Mrs. B. M. Dutton, the past week. Miss Hattie Mae Horton is spend ing this week. with friends at Con verse. Mr. Lemiel Wiggins has returned to Bamberg after an extended visit with Rev. and Mrs. L. E. Wiggins. Miss Hattie Mae Avinger has re turned to her home at Vance after a visit with Miss Lora Montjoy. Miss Marcia Duskin, who was the guest of her sister, Mrs. T. J. Peake, for two weeks, has returned to her home at Columbus, Ga. Judge and Mrs. T. J. Mauldin, of Pickens, visited Rev. and Mrs. L. E. Wiggins the past week. Mrs. C. L. Rounds left Wednesday for a week’s stay at Wrightsville Beach. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Ramseur, of Greenville, recently visited Mrs. Ram- seur’s mother, Mrs. B. M. B. Mills, of Greer, visited friends in town Sunday. Mr. Otis McMurray, of Abbeville, spent the week-end here with his grandfather, Mr. E. B. Garvin. The many friends of Miss Lila Dil lard will be glad to know that she is improving rapidly after an operation in a Columbia hospital. Mr. John Ballenger, of Seneca, was a recent guest of friends in the city. Miss Fronde Kennedy is visiting relatives in the city. Mrs. Emma Glenn and Mrs. Jennie Briggs were in Columbia Tuesday. Miss Marjorie Spencer, of Wash ington, is the guest of her parents, Dr. and Mrs. A. E. Spencer. Miss Ruby Wilson, who has been in Atlanta for the past year taking training as a nurse, is spending her vacation here v/ith her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Wilson.
