Shockley left last week for a visit to her daughter, Mrs. E. H. Hall, after having been the guest of her daughter, Mrs. W. P. Jacobs.' Mrs. W. F. Huiett, Mr. and Mrs G. S. Yellell, of Greenwood, spent the past week-end here as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Jeans. Miss Hable Aldred returned Friday from Macon where she has been in school. Miss Louise Kern is home from Greenwood, where she taught the past term. Mrs. B. H. Boyd has returned from a visit to relatives in Florence. Dr. and Mrs. G. C. Mayes of Winns boro, are attending the P. C. com mencement, and while here are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Cosby. Mr. Robert Boland, of Prosperity is spending several days here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ira C. Boland Miss Iva Mahaffey of Gray Court will be the guest of Miss Minnie Lee Nash for the coming week-end. Mr. Fred Milam, of Greenwood was in town Monday on business. Misses Marguerite and Adeline Bo land are spending this week in Green wood with their grand-parents, Mr and Mrs. A. J. Sproles. Miss Sarah Hunter returned Mon day from Columbia University, New York, where she has been pursuing special work the past year. Mr. and Mrs. Billie Prince, of Spar tanburg, spent Sunday with friends in town. Mrs. E. S. F. Giles, Mrs. Irvin Cole man and Mrs. F. BL Boland and F. M. Miss Florie McGill left Saturday for her home in Hickory Grove after teaching here the past session. Bliss Alliene Hipp spent Sunday here with her sister, Miss Emma Hipp. Mrs. Harvey Brannen left Satur day for her home in Statesboro after a visit to Mrs. Emma Little and Mrs. Jas. R. Copeland. Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Vaughan and children, of Laurens, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Owens on Sun day. Mr. Jodie Hollis left Saturday for his home in Chester after teaching here for the past term. Little Miss Kathryne Hogan has returned to her home in Columbia after spending a while with her mother, Mrs. Sarah Hogan. Mrs. A. G. Beard left Monday for Austin, Texas, for two weeks’ stay, and from there she will go to Pampi- co, Mexico, where Mr. Beard is em ployed. Miss Agatha Bailey, of Coker Col lege, Hartsville, is at home for the summer holidays. Mr. Ansel Godfrey, of Honea Path is here with his mother, Mrs. Bessie Godfrey, after teaching the past ses sion. Mr. James Hicklin, of Rock Hill spent the past week-end with friends at P. C. Mrs. Frank Kellers, Miss Virginia Kellers and Mr. Frank Kellers, Jr. spent the past week-end with rela tives in Augusta. Mr. Robert Woodson spent several days this week in town and attended the P. C. commencement. Mr. and Mis. Frank Gray and little daughter, of Charlotte, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Wilson for the past week-end. Misses Peggy and Sara Dunlap, of Rock Hill, were the week-end guests of Mrs. M. J. McFadden. Mr. Glenn Fuller, of Wofford Col lege, spent the past week-end here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Fuller.
