Sadler and little Miss Virginia were recent visitors in Max- ton, N. C. Miss Ayliffe Robinson spent the week-end with relatives at Easley. Mrs. M. A. Hays, Mrs. Emma Lit tle, and Mrs. W. B. Owens, Sr., spent last Friday in Spartanburg. Miss Janet Mackerell, of Chicora was the guest of Mrs. A. V. Martin last week and attended the Owl ban quet. Mrs. E. L. Blakely recently visited her sister in Woodruff. Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Boyd were in Spartanburg a few days last week. Mrs. Zee McLees and Miss Dorcas Mason spent last Thursday in Green ville. Miss Lucy Epps has returned from six weeks’ stay in Camden where she went in the interest of the Southern Bell Telephone Company. Mrs. Frank Kellers was called to Augusta Friday on account of the illness of her father. Sloan, the past week. Mrs. M. J. Moore was called to Newberry last week on account of the serious illness of her sister.
