YOUNG PEOPLE IN
CONVENTION HERE
There were quite a number of
delegates in town on Friday to at
tend the convention of the Young
People's Christian Union of the A.
R. P. Church. Addresses were made

both at the afternoon and night
services. Jdst before the night ses
sion the ladies served a bountiful
supper to all their guests and
church members on the church
lawn. The
esting and the young people are
very enthusiastic and have many
hew plans for their work. The fol
lowing made inspiring addresses:

HIGH SCHOOL PUPILS
IN ANNUAL CONTEST
On Tuesday and Friday evenings
at the graded school auditorium,
two interesting Declaimers contests
were held. The contestants were
a credit to themselves, and to their
societies. The program had been
carefully arranged and elicited the
warmest praise from all present.

Munich is regarded as imminent, fol
lowing the action of the communists in
deposing the revolutionary council re
public. Three would-be governments
are now in existence in Bavaria.
The first act of the communists was
the election of a council of ten which
was proclaimed in power. Armed
hands then stormed the police station,
disarming the police and arresting sev
eral officials as hostages. The com
munists were aided by the Russian
bolshevik ^leader, Dr. Levien, who re
cently returned from Russia.
