fully entertained on Friday even

First Presbyterian church of that
city. Miss Durant is from. Bishop-
yiRe and her popularity is shown

was accompanied to-New York by
her sister, Mrs. Law.
Mr. Brimm is one of Clinton's
most popular young men and is the
eldest son of Dr. land Mrs. D. J.
Brimm. He is now in the design
ing department of Gallaulef Aero
plane Plant, at East Greenwich.

Mr. and Mrs. Brimm will he at
home in East Greenwich for the
present. Their many friends here
wish them much success and happi
ness in the -future. .

interest to friends in town is that
of the engagement of Miss Lena
Belle Adair to Dr. James B. Kay,
of Anderson, the wedding to take
place on the second of April. Miss
Adair is the daughter of Mrs. Min-

nie Adailf and for some time has
I been in training in Grady hospital
in Atlanta, where she finished her
course in January. She has a
large circle of friends here.
Dr. Kay is a young physician in
the bospifrd from which Miss Adair
graduated and for the present will
be located there. Th^ many friends
of the young couple extend best
wishes for a happy future.
Miss Nancy Owens who is leader
of the girls Junior Christian Endeav
or society gave the members'quite
an enjoyable party on Tuesday after
noon. The invitation was given “to
a Tacky Party" and the members
certainly entered into the spirit with
great fun. The costuming was first
class and the tfchole evening proved to
he the very best fun imaginable-.
At a late hour the hostess served
stick candy, peanuts and cakes. About
forty childred were present and enjoy
ed the evening to the fullest.
