Mrs. Hattie B. Mack left this week
for Richmond, Va., where she will
visit for several weeks in the home of
her son, the Rev. Edward Mack, D. D.
C. T. Crook has returned to his
home in the Fort Mill community after
spending several months with
relatives at Springfield, Orangeburg
county.
Mr. and Mrs- F. EL Ardrey and their
young son of Aiken were guests for
several days this week in the home,
of Mr. Ardrey's mother, Mrs. Mary
Ardery.
Col.?T- B. Spratt is in New Orleans
this week attending the national convention
of the American Legion as
the South Carolina member of the executive
committee.
As a result of the recent rains and
consequent htuvy condition of the
public roads in this section,little cotton
has been brought to the Fort Mill
market for sale during the last weekPart
of the outfit of the contractor
who will rebuild the Steel Creek road
between Fort Mill and the North Carolina
line arrived several days ago
and it is understood that he will begin
work on the road at once.

was assured by Mr. Johnson that he

request given favorable consideration.
