The watermelon season in this
section is on its last legs. During
the last week only a few loads
have been brought from the country
into town, although it is said
a number of farmers have patch

fortnight.

dog which stopped suddenly when
the greyhound was within a few
feet of it. The greyhound, run- ;
ning at full speed, was unable to
slow down in time to prevent a
collision with the other dog and <

wounded last Wednesday
