An announcement that will prove of
interest to the Confederate veterans of
York county has just been made by
D. W. MeLaurin, State pension commissioner,
who says that the money
for the pensioners in the several counties
of the State will be apportioned
within the next few weeks. The distribution
of the pension money this
year seems to have been delayed by
the failure of IS counties to send in
the list of the veterans entitled to receive
pensions., and the statement is
made that as soon as these counties
file their papers the money will be
apportioned.
