The infant son of J. W. ,
Collins died Sunday night. The
body of the little boy was interred
beside that of his mother,
who died about a month ago.
The Rev. Edw. S. Reaves, of
Honea Path, visited relatives in
Fort Mill Thursday. Mr. Reaves
came up from Chester, where1,
Mrs. Reaves is a patient in a <
hospital.
Prof. Frank Potts, of the
university of South Carolina, is
at his home in Pleasant Valley. <
Prof. Potts may spend a part of
the summer vacation at one of:;
the northern universities.
The condition of Major James
W. Wilson, of Charlotte, who
has been critically ill for several
days, is said to be somewhat improved.

Rev. Robert G. Lee will preach
to the congregation of the Fort
Mill Baptist church next Sunday
evening. In the forenoon of the
same day Mr. Lee will preach at
Flint Hill church. He is a Fort
Mill young man who was recently
ordained to the ministry of the
Baptist church.
Several thousand copies of an
editorial which appeared in The
Times two weeks ago, under the
caption "North Carolina Republicanism,"
will be used as a ;
campaign document by Congressman
E. Y. Webb in his canvass
for reelection in the Ninth
North Carolina district.
James D. Fulp has sold his
stock of clothing and dry goods
in Winnsboro and will devote his
entire time hereafter tr? tko
Winnsboro hotel, the proprietorship
of which he acquired recently.
Mr. Fulp is an old Fort Mill
boy whose friends here wish him ,
success in the hotel business.
After visiting their sister, Mrs.
Osmond Barber, for several days,
Misses Anne and Valinda Hamilton,
of Union, left Monday
morning for Charlottesville, Va.,
where they will spend six weeks
in attendance upon the summer
school at the University of
Virginia. Miss Valinda Hamilton
is a 1910 graduate of VVinthrop
college.
The farmers of Gold Hill are
arranging with the demonstration
department of Clemson college
for a farmers' institute to
be held at Gold Hill academy
later in the summer. The date
of the institute has not been
nxeci, out it probably will be
held about the 1st of August, in
conjunction with the annual picnic
of that community.
James H. Cofer, of WinstonSalem,
N. C., and Miss Mamie
Hill, of Pilot Mountain, N. C.,
came to Fort Miil on train No. 27
Tuesday afternoon and a few
hours after reaching town were
married at the Palmetto hotel
by the Rev. T. J. White. The
young man appeared to be about
19 years of age and the young
lady even younger, perhaps not
more than 17. They left for
Winston-Salem Wednesday morn-,
ing. !

Be it ordained by the town council of J

the same:
Section 1. It shall he unlawful for
any person or persons to drive an automobile
or other vehicle at a greater
speed than 15 miles per hour on any j
street within the corj>orate limits of |
said town, except on Main street where
the speed shall not exceed 1(1 miles per '
hour.
Sec. 2. Any driver of an automobile . 1
upon approaching a corner where the |
view is obstructed must not run at a
greater speed than 10 miles per hour
and must give warning by blowing a
born or whistle before reaching such
corner.
Sec. 3. All drivers of vehicles must
turn to the right whan passing other
vehicles, and should the driver of an
automobile see that a team is fright- |
ened, he or she must stop the machine ,
until all danger is over.
Sec. 4. Anyone violating any of the
above sections shall, upon conviction,
be fined not less than $5.00 nor more
than $100, or imprisoned for a term of
not less than 5 days nor more than 30
days, or both fined and imprisoned, in
the discretion or the mayor or council.
