The exhibits were larger j
and of a bettor variety than ever j
and the crowds of visitors to the j

i ill that city at 2 o'clock in the af- j

J extent of $50,000. Ha'f a block on j

| burned up. Twenty horses, most !
j of them belonging to out of town '
; parties attending the Mecklenburg

wind was blowing and the lire depart
ment got the tire under control
with ditliculty. The losses
! were partially covered by insui- t

in Charlotte with No. 28 ;
I going nottli, and that mail for this
train must reach the postoffiee not j

t does not run north of Charlotte.
