There has been n steady demand '
this spring for sweet- potatoes at ;

same, especially in the early

they should not always be an .

As before elated, a miniber of
companion will be mustered out of !
the aeivice in order to reduce the i
enlisted strength of tlie militia, and
naturally, York county with three
companies could hardly be expect- j
cd to keep them all. But if the]
other companies passed as good
inspection as did the Fort Alill
Light Infantry it is difficult to see
how the State authorities could
consistently disband either of
them.
The inspecting officers Cols. E.
15. Fuller, J. M. Patrick and J. (J.
Boyd, complimented the company
very highly, one of them saying
that this was probably the best
drilled company seen 011 his tour
of inspection.
If any trouble is encountered it
will in all probability be on ac
count of a shortage in the uniforms
issued to the company,
every one of which must be shown
or accounted for.
