Much to the regret of a number
of citizens of Fort Mill who were
contemplating the trip it is announced
that the excursion that
was to have left Rock Hill today
for Savannah, Ga., is called off. j
The Rock Hill camp of Woodmen
bad contracted with the Southern
Railway for the train, hut it trans
pired that the train could not be
furnished until the 1.1th, and this
not proving satisfactory to the
Woodmen, the trip was abandoned.
However, it has been suggested
that the camp will in a few days go j

trustees of the public school in
that place have closed a contract
with Prof. J. A. Boyd, of Hunters- j

few weeks and will occupy the j

The hooks of the Democratic

The Yorkville dispensary has
turned over to the county treasurer
for division between coun ty!
and town, $314 11, being the net
profits for the month of July. The
net profits from May 24th to June
1st were $33.11, from June 1st to
July 1st, $211.44. The total net
profits turned over to date is $">88.99,
which is not far from 5300 a
