The candidates for various State
nml Federal offices are already
very active. They are contributing
liberally to the support of the
mail service by sending out numerous
circulars. Beading them one
is lead to believe that the wrong
set of men have been in office
heretofore.

was presented to Dr. Meachain by

A Lancaster exchange says the
grip is prevalent over the county
in fact, over the entire State, h
will greatly increase from now until
next August. Every white man
who nttended court here last week
got it. Negroes are not subject to
it. The consolation :s it will
not hurt anybody. The truth is.
everybody is pleased to have it.
The grip we allude to is the candidate's
"grip."
