Seriously Hurt in Runaway. Oh Saturday afternoon Mr. W. j R. Phillijm hire<l a horse from one of the livery stables to go, witli his wife,\to'Mr. Andy Kirabrell's home just across the North Carolina line. On reaching the store of the Fort Mill Mfg.Company Mr. Phillips entered the store, leaving his wife alone in the buggy. At this time the horse became frightened and made a dash up the road. Mrs. Phillips did all in her power to check the speed of the animal but was unable to do so, and, on reaching a point just beyond the old White homestead, she thought it best to jump. In doing so her foot slipped and she fell, the rear wheel of the buggy passing over body. Mrs. Philips was found in an unconscious condition n few inoments afterward and was cnrried to ' a neighbors ho^ae,-.where medical aid was summoned. Upon exam- ' inatiou it was found that, besides several bruises to the face ami body, she was injured internally, the extent of which could not at that j time he ascertained.
