Street Crossing to be Abolish-it.
At the last meetino of the town
council a resolution was adopted
requesting the Southern Kail way
Company to abolish the crossing
in the cut a short distance above
the depot, in this phi e hy build

the attention of the company to
the fact that, this crossing is used
very extensively by pedestrians,
and that it is decide dy dangerous.
Many children going to and coming
from school find it convenient
to cross the track there, and the
danger to which they are subjected
is accentnated by the fast through
trains which hardly slow down
while passing through the place.
Upon receipt of the resolution,
Uoudmaster ?). W . Morgan at once
caine to Fort Mill to investigate
the matter, and it is said that lie
agreed with the council that the
crossing is dangerous and promised
to have the bridge built in
the near future.
While in town Mr. Morgan inquired
about the company's well

these columns last week. I'nfortunatoly
Mr. Morgan's inquiries
were directed to a member of the
council who was not aware that
