Alford spent Sunday in Loris, S. C. " o Campaign for. Adult Blind. Tuesday morning promptly it 9 o'clock a committee composed of a number of Dillon ladies "will begin a campaign for the adult blind. These unfortunate people have a workshop at Columbia where they .are trying to earn a living, but they are badly in need of equipment In the way of machinery that will help them to make the workshop self-sustaining. Similar campaigns are being conducted in every town and city in the state and Dillon will be asked to contribute her share towards this worthy enterprise. It will be a .cash campaign and no pledges will be taken. Dillon folk will be asked to give what they feel able'to give in the way of cash. Mr. T. M. Glenn, field agent was here last week arranging for the campaign. The campaign begins at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning. o Methodist Church Dedicated Dillon's handsome Methodist chnrrh was formally dedicated last Sunday morning, the dedicatoi-y sermon being preached by Bishop Darljngton. The Bervice was in the nature of a union service, the other churches of the town joining with their Methodist arethren on this happy occasion. Bishop Darlington preached a slrong, mpressive and scholarly sermon and for more than an hour held the unlivided attention of the large congregation.
