This course, offer- f ed at the request of the club women t of the state, is designed to meet the a needs of the women in the home who c la hungering for intellectual stimu- fc lation and for recreation. C Any course offered during the 8 summer school is open to those who attend this Short Course, but a spec- i lai program is arranged In order that i some unit in each subject may be covered in the two weeks session, u This program will include studies in t English, history, psychology, home q nursing, household arts, household science, social science, parliamentary law and citizenship. All are interested in reducing adult illiteracy, and to aid this work Miss Eva Hite, for- r mer President of the State School i Improvement Association, will give r a course in methods of teaching adult i illiterates. During this course there will be s several important conferences held at i the college. The nurses and hospital i workers of the state will hold one, ? lasting probably the entire two i weeks. Mrs. F. S. Munsell, Chairman of the South Carolina League of Women voters, has called a meeting of the heads of the various state organizations to meet at the college on July 6 for a conference. This Short Course gives an apportunity for the woman in the home to renew her youth, to refresh her memory on many points, and to receive inspiration to cariy back to her home and her community.
