Sitton has returned from Charleston where he purchased a car load of government food for distribution in the county. The government is selling the food it purchased for the soldiers during the war at 30 to 40 per cent, less than wholesalers. Mr. Sitton is allowed a profit of 10 per cent. ( Corn Stead Stackliou.se Badly Injured Stead Stackhouse, son of Dr. Wade Stackhouse, was painfully and seriously burned at the Carolina Milling Co's. plant Tuesday afternoon when a steam pipe on which he was working bursted.* The pipe was in a small enclosure'and the force of the escaping steam was so great that it held Mr. Stackhouse against the wall and is was several minutes before he could escape. He was badly burned about the upper part of the body and his injuries are regarded as serious. Although suffering terribly from his burns Mr. Stackhouse jumped into an automobile and drove to . Dr. Craig's office where he received prompt medical attention. He was taken t0 the Florence Infirmary on the 6:35 train, and the last accounts stated that he was still suffering terribly from the burns. Stead has been at the plant since it was urst siariea, maintaining a general supervision over the mechanical department. He is one of Dillon's most popular young men and his many friends are awaiting the outcome of his injuries with much anxiety. .NOTICE OF FINAL DISCHARGE. Notice is hereby given that Lattie B.
