Marriage at Fork.
Mr. R. S. Moore and Miss Annie s
Atkinson took their friends by sur- \,
prise and were quietly married at y
Fork last Friday afternoon at four t
o'clock. The marriage is of partic- li
uiar interest to Dillon folks as the v
bride and groom resided here for a u
number of years and are pleasantly f
remembered by a large circle of
friends. The bride is a young lady

know her. The groom Is a
prominent merchant and planter of s
' 'ork and has scores of friends in
Hillon who wish him and his charm- n

store of J. P. Martin, at Ha- t
mer was destroyed by fire Tuesday a
n orning about 2 o'clock. The ori- I
gin of the fire is unknown. The is
store was closed Monday night and ?
several hours later it was discovered
on fire. Mr. Martin was sick in !'.
l?ed and knew nothing of the fire e
until the building was almost destroyed.
The loss is about $4,500
with $2,000 insurance.
