among the visitors in the city Monday.
B. F. Edwards, Harlee Rogers,
R. M. Jackson, Col. W. W. Norman,
W. J. ard J. W. Adams, and quite
a number of other well known farmers
were seen on the streets Monday
Jno. Norton, son of Jno. A. Norton,
who has been very ill at the
hospital In Sumter with typhoid
fever, is improving. The young
man will soon be able to leave the
hospital and will come to Dillon to
spend a while with his parents.
Mr. Hubert Knight, who ha3 been
with the Dillon Hardware Co. for
the past four months resigned his
position and left for Oak Ridge, N.
C., Tuesday morning. From there
he will go to Cherlotte, N. C.,
where he has accepted a position.
Mrs. A. B. Watson, who has
been spending a few days in town
on a visit at the home of her parents.

Dr. J. P. Ewing. of Fayetteville,
N. C.t was in town for a few days
this past week. The doctor is looking
well, and speaks of his new
home in the highest terms.

number of friends last Wednesday
evening in honor of her sister. Miss

J. L. Jr., the infant son of Mr.
and Mrs. J. L. Bridges died at the
family residence yesterday morning
after an illness of several weeks
with cholera infantum. The little
fellow was the only son of Mr. and
Mrs. Bridges and his death has
cast a shadow over the home. The >
bereaved parents have the sympa- i
thy of many friends in their be- j
reavement.
