Another Fish Story.

Conway, Aug. IS.?<)!; morning
this week the residents of Myrtle
Beach, Horry's summer resort, were
very much upset by no incident entirely
unheard of. Some ot" the more
superstitious persons were wont to
see an unlucky sign in the fact that
all day t'isi were constantly coming
ashore, some stunned to such an < :?tent
that they died, ami others already
dead.
About 300 to 4 0c flounders were
picked up on the shore Several
specimens of lish never before seen
at Myrtle Beach were washed ashore
several codfish having been found
in the collection. What caused this
remarkable occurence is the question
now in the minds of the Myrtle
Beach folks.
Some of the Myrtle Beach residents
attribute the conduct of the
fish to lightning, but S. T. I^eonard
a veteran fisherman of that point,
breaks down this theory in that he
, states he was fishing several miles
1 out during the time that the fish
were coming in, and that he had
| splendid luck, catching something
! over 200 pounds of fish the same (
