Dillon is becoming one of the
greatest automobile towns in the .
state. Recently several very fine
machines have been purchased by 1
Dillonites and the automobile is

the streets. Among those*who 1

J . W. Moore, a large 30 horse power
Jackson; J. B. Dibson and E. 1
L. Moore have each purchased a 1
30 horse power Buick, L. Edwards ^
is running a 20 horse power Maxwell
and Dr. Stackhousc has in- (
vested in a 20 horse power Brush.

was given up for lost, but a few <

the wheels of his bicycle in an- j
other bicycle frame as the machine ,
was oeing ridden through the i
streets by a negro. lie secured a c
warrant for toe negro and after t
the darkey was arrested he ad- j
mitted that he got the bicycle >
from another negro in Lumberton. )
Messrs. Muggins and Bridges ,
went to Lumberton anil had negro
No. i. arrested. Negro No. 1
charged a other negro with the
theft and Negro No. 3 was arrest*
ed. Negro No. 3 protested his
[ innocence, but after a rigid cross t

The killing was done with
