Mr. J. W. Smith, who raised and
gathered 929 pounds of lint cotton

at four o'clock in Dr. Michaux's
office. The committee appointed
to get up a play for some
time in January reported that they
were corresponding with a party
who would likely come to train
our "local talent," buc that no
definite arrangements had been
made with him yet. If satisfactory
terms can be made between ns .
he will probably put on the play
about January 27th, or 28th.
As our treasury is in need of
funds before any further work can
be done, it was decided to have an
oyster supper Friday evening o *
this week, January 21st. There
will also be music, recitation etc,
during the day, everybody is cordially
invited to come and have a J
