The Florida Times Union gives a talk of Col. W. J. Bryan at a Y. M. C. A. meeting an evening or two since. The sentiments show the man. Here are some of them: “But the address which called forth the cheers of the men was given by Colonel Bryan. After many pleasant bits at camp life, which were greatly appreciated by the boys, he expressed the hope that the Third Nebraska Regiment might be noted for the sterling in tegrity and morality of the men, which he had every reason to be lieve it would. He referred to the many anxious mothers who would be interested in the welfare of their sons, and hoped that all would oondnet themselves in sneb a manner as to bring happiness to their friends^| home. He furth- muAMflrfopA " ooD would make a good soldier. In closing his address, the colonel said that no men had a stronger grip upon his Christian faith than he, and he urged the men to be true to their convictions in whatever de nomination they may be fonnd. In all, the meeting was one of great interest, and the address which Colonel Bryan gave to his men will never be forgotten.” RESULTS OF THE WAR. The war with Spain has ended, lasting three months and twenty- two days. All peace loving citi zens hail its speedy termination with joy and are proud that its conduct on sea aud on laud on the part of the United States has re flected glory aud honor upon our flag. North, South, East aud West- each hai borne a willing share in its prosecution aud, whatever differences may have existed as to its justification, all can now meet on common ground and see the hand of Providence working out the destinies of nations. Besides the chief results won by our armies, the freedom of Cuba, and the great commercial advan tages which may come to us from the acquisition of adjacent terri tory, the war has brought us many lessons. We have been made acquainted with the great fighting resources of the country, our invincible army and navy, the personnel of the fighters on sea aud on land, their characters moral and intellectual, and we have been made to under stand that we have a very high class of men at the head of our naval and military establishments, and that, when we get into trou ble, there are always men to come to the front The world too has learned its lessons. Foreign nations will give ns a respect hitherto unfelt by them. The United States aud England have been drawn closer together by ties of blood and the sympathies growing ont of a com mon civilization, and, with these cemented, we trnst that the bold front of the lion and the eagle will put an end to wars. Boils, or their more aggravated form of carbuncle, surely indicates a diseased condition of the blood, which should have prompt atten- tion on the appearance of the first symptoms, or they may lead to more serious diseases. Eat the best you can get, and freely use Botanic Blood Balm (B. B. B.) Mrs. W. A. Steed, of Augusta, Ga„ had boils for several years past, as well as a carbuncle over the right eye. This spring she felt the symptoms of boils coming on again. While sewing she would prick the skin with her needle. The little sores would fester. She took two bottles of Botanic Blood Balm (B. B. B.) and was entircl cured, and she passed the spring without the an noying boils and possible return of a carbuncle. H er blood was re lieved of a poison matter by B. B. B., which is a powerful blood remedy. J. D. Watkins, Blakely, Ua„ writes: “Old sores covered my entire person and itched intensely night and day. For several months I could not work at all. I com menced the use of Botanic Blood Balm (B. B. B.) and began to grow better the first week, and am now sound and well, free from sores and itching, and at work again.’’ Botanic Blood Balm (B. B. B.) is a scientific vegetable compound used by Dr. Gilman in his private practice for blood diseases such as old sores, scrofula, boils, blood poison, etc. It cured so many people that it was put on the mar ket 17 years ago and is for sale by all druggists at Ji.oo per large bottle. It has always enjoyed a large sale because it cures! cures! cures! even after everything has been tried in vain. It cures because B. B. B. drives the poison out of the blood and body.
