An Important Meeting of Labor Day Asso
ciation to be Held Monday Night.
The Labor Day Association will
hold an important meeting at the
city hall on Monday night at 8.30
o’clock. It is hoped, it is urged,
that the citizens of the town will
be present in large numbers. The
committee on finance will report.
They have succeeded well in their
work, but there must yet fee cob
lected a few dollars in order that
all the expenses may be fully met.
This money, be it understood, is
for the benefit of the reel races,
advertising matter, etc,—in fact
all the expense incident to the en
tertainments for the day.
Let the meeting be full. The
proposed reel contests must not go
by the board.
The Lee County Cane,
The following is the order of
the Supreme Court, the Circuit
Judges having been called to the
aid of this court to determine the
issue of fact to be referred:
After hearing the argument of
counsel and full conference, the
majority of the court as thus con
stituted reached the conclusion
that the only issues of fact
which should be referred to the
referee are the following, viz:
First* Whether the board of
commissioners of election for
Darlington county certifieu the
result of the election held in those
portions of said county proposed
to be cut off for the purpose of
forming the proposed new county
of Lee, under the order of bis ex
cellency, the governor, in tabula
ted statement of the vote at each
precinct, and transmitted the
same to the secretary of state.
Second. If so, whether it ap-
p:ars from such statement that
two-thirds of those voting at such
election were in favor of the es
tablishment of Lee county.
The resons for this conclusion
will be stated in an opinion which
will hereafter* be prepared and
filed. Henry Mclver,
Chief Justice.
Joseph F. .Rhame, Esq., has
bren appointed the referee.

About one month ago my child,
which is fifteen months old, had
an attack of diarrhoea accompanied
by vomiting. I gave it such rem
edies as are usually given in such
cases, but as nothing gave relief,
we sent for a physician and it was
under his care for a week. At this
time the child had been sick for
ten days and was having about
twenty-five operations of the
bowels every twelve hours, and we
were convinced that unless it soon
obtained relief it would not live,
Chamberlain’s Colic, Cholera and

I soon noticed a change for the
better; by its continued use a com

it is now perfectly healthy.—C. L.

Boils Indicate Diseased Blood.
If not cured they lead to car
buncles and running sores. .
Boils, or their more aggravated
form of carbuncle, surely indicates
a diseased condition of the blood,
which should have prompt atten
tion on the appearance of the first
symptoms, or they may lead to
more serious diseases. Eat the
best you can get, and freely use
Botanic Blood Balm (B. B. B.)
Mrs. W. A. Steed, of Augusta,
Ga., had boils for several years
past, as well as a carbuncle over
the right eye. This spring she
felt the symptoms of boils coming
on again. While sewing she
would prick the skin with her
needle. The little sores would
fester. She took two bottles of
Botanic Blood Balm (B. B. B.)
and was entirel cured, and she
passed the spring without the an
noying boils and possible return
of a carbuncle. Her blood was re
lieved of a poison matter by B. B.
B., which is a powerful blood
remedy.
J. D. Watkins, Blakely, Ga.,
writes: “Old sores covered my
entire person and itched intensely
night and day. For several months
I could not work at all. I com
menced the use of Botanic Blood
Balm (B. B. B.) and began to
grow better the first week, and am
now sound and well, free from
sores and itching, and at work
again.”
Botanic Blood Balm (B. B. B.)
is a scientific vegetable compound
used by Dr. Gilman in his private
practice for blood diseases such as
old seres, scrofula, boils, blood
poison, etc. It cured so many
people that it was put on the mar
ket 17 years ago and is for sale by
all druggists at $1.00 per large
bottle. It has always enjoyed a
large sale because it
