It was announced today that the heirs of the late F. W. Woolworth founder of a chain of five and ten cent stores, had arranged to bor row $3,000,000 on the structure to provide ready funds to meet state and federal inheritance taxes which total $8,000,000 The Woolworth building. 792 feet high and covering nearly an acre of land in lower Broadway, returns an income of $1,550,000 and is valued by financial experts at $10,00(J,000.. FISH PLENTIFUL Berlin, June 25—After the long war interval, North Sea and Baltic Sea fishermen report enormous catches of fish. AY. Hamburg and Cuzhoven alone 10,000 tons of fish have been landed in one single month. From Kiel .and Luebeck come similar reports of immense shoals of herrings and other fish. Deputy Fire Chief Henry B. Helm and four members of the rescue squad, who plngged the leaking cyl inder, were overcome by the deadly vapor and are in a hospital. Attention was first attract\|il to the leaking carboy, when scores of people began crowding into the streets coughing and sneezing. Firemen visited all tenement hous es in the district but no one was found seriously affected by the va por which hung low over the street throughout the- night and today.
