miles cheaper tires, they
mean Quakers. These tires have
been so thoroughly tested on the
roads of the country that they
need no further introduction to
car-owners. If you want to be
sure of full mileage, you should
ride on Quakers.
Let us show them to you.

said Mrs. Musk-Ox.
“I said nothing about a little baby
brother or sister.”
“Well, the baby would be a brother
to the rest of the family, If he were
a little boy, and a sister, If she were a
little girl,” said Mrp. Musk-Ox.
“And If she had no sisters and
brothers she would simply be a little
baby, or he would simply be a little
baby,” said Miss Musk-Ox.
“Gracious, but you're a stubborn
creature,” said Mrs. Musk-Ox.
“What is more,” she added, “you
like to correct nre, but you don't mean
any special kind of a baby—or in any
special family, or anything like that,
and then you pretend that I was wrong
and tried to put me in a hole.”
“I tried to put you In your place,

“But I’m not too nice about every
thing. It's a mistake to he too nice,

"You don’t suppose you would ever

Miss Musk-Ox?”
“Gracious, wba| good would a sweet

"Well, it’s a lucky thing we who
have nice dispositions can’t eat them,”
grinned Mrs. Musk-Ox, “as we’d hate
to lose them.”
“Aud It wouldn’t make me look any

“no, not In the least.
“To he sure,” she added, “it would

She grinned In a very self-satisfied
manner. “But Mr. Musk-Ox, ha, ha!”
"Really, the Idea of talking In such

“It’s n compliment when I call him

"I know that,” said Mrs, Musk-Ox.
“You are quite the most tempery musk

“Well,” said Miss Musk-Ox, “I am
glad of it. I have always been preud
of my temper, and besides I would
hate to disappoint the keeper and peo

“Whatever do you mean?” asked
Mrs. Musk-Ox.
"Don’t you see,” said Miss Musk-Ox,
"that they all know I have a temper?
Now, If I should become too pleasant,
they would all be disappointed. I
would be so different and unnatural
then. It is ’always best to be natu

“Well," said Mrs. Musk-Ox, "you
have a strange way of looking at
things.”
"I look at things the same way as
any one else does,” said Miss Musk-
Ox, “with my eyes."
"I mean that you have a strange
way of thinking about things,” said
Mrs. Musk-Ox.
"I thiiflt with my brains,” said Miss
Musk-Ox, grinning.
“Oh, well, you know what I mean,"
said Mra. Musk-Ox. "But tell me what

"Ah,” said Miss Musk-Ox, "I have
