In the Lyceum Singers Tuesday
evening and Opie Ropd Thursday
evening, the Redpath Lyceum bureau
will present next week two more of
the eight numbers of its 1920 program
in Florence. Mrs. W. M. Waters, one
of the leading forces in bringing
these educational entertainments to
Florence, announced this morning the
early coming of these numbers.
The Lyceum Singers troupe com
prises a quartet of the finest artists
on tour today.’ They are expected to
be an exceptional .treat to music lov
ers, students, and others - who enjoy
good music. They will be here Tues
day evening.*
Opie Read is reputed to be one of
the foremost lecturers, impersona
tors. journalists, educators, and pub
licists of America. His program has
not been announced but his reputa
tion insures an excellent number. He
will be here Thursday. This engage
ment was postponed early in the sea
son because of the influenza epidem
ic.
Four other numbers remain after
these two are given. They are Judge
j$en B. Lindsey, the famous Juvenile
court organizer and judge of Denver:
Laurant and .Company, a musical
troupe of four persons; Swiss Alpine
Yodlers, a company of six organized
originally in the .Swiss Tyrol; and
Starling and company, another musi
cal treat.
The remainder of the program will
be presented in the Central School
auditorium because the opera house
Is not available now. Tickets are on
sale now.

meet Thursday evening at 8 o’clock

Line, has arranged to attend the
meeting of the jobbers and other
mercantile inttrests of Florence, pro
vided it Is held Friday afternoon.
Accordingly, the date was changed
today from Saturday afternoon to
the date to suit him. .
A previous engagement out of
town for Saturday, Mr. Hare stated,
precluded his presence that date.
Other officials of both the Allan
tic Coast Line and the Seaboard Air
Line will ho invited to attend, in
cluding local, terminal and commer
cial agents Tho meeting Is called
for 3 o’clock Friday afternoon at the
office of the Chamber of Commerce.
