('olumbbr, April 3,—A large num
ber of cotton seed .crushers and peo
ple connected with the crushing in
dustry in South Carolina Will attend
the antiuni convention of the Inter-
^ state Cottonseed Crushers Associa
tion, to be held In New Orleans. May
12-14. It is not known who will go
jto the gathering from South Carolina,
but it is certain that a large dele
gation will attend. Charleston and
Columbia will especially be well rep
resented, it is thought.
The crushers had considered for a
while the advisability of having the
convention in Havana, Cuba, but it
was found that hotel accomodations
were so scarce and so costly there
that this plan was abandoned. The
Hotel G'unewald, in New Orleans,
will he the headquarters of the crukh
ers convention, and there will be
hundreds of men connected with the
cotton business in attendance, repre
senting every section of the South
and many other states.
