population- at that time of 4,047. Ten
years later, 1910, when the next
census was taken, Florence had push

hot available it is a foregone conclu
sion that Florence will occupy the

than Florence are: Charleston. Co
lumbla, Spartanburg and Greenville.
The two cities that Florence' have
passed within the past ten years are
Simiter and Anderson. The figures

a sure guess that Florence will go
above both of them.
