Windau-, in Oourland in the Bailie
which were taken by the Bolsheviks
on January 31, have been recaptured.

Pleasant Meeting
At Baptist Church
About lifty men and boys of the
First Ba,prist Church braved the
weather last night and attended the
get-io-gether meeting held in 'the Sun
day School rooms ot the church. The
' purpose of the meeting was to distucc
ways tor increasing the atendance at
all of 'the services of the church. Dr
F H.. Martin, pastor of the church,
made a splendid talk to the gathering,
giving figures covering the number
ot non-cLurch goers in Florence that
were * anling. Accoring to his fig-
. uree none of the churches have as
much as fifty per cent of 'the their
members present at. any service. This
is a condition, he said that had to be
faced, and it was the duty of the
! workers of the fhurch to try to over-
oemc it. Mr. ‘HOwle, Mr. J. B. Aiken,
, and Mr. \V. M. Waters also made
short alks, all of which were enjoy
ed. At tLe conclusion of the meeting
. in the Sunday School room, the men
• gathered around a tabic spread with

were passed. While the meeting was
largely social in nature a movement
was set on tout which will redound
to the good of'the churcit and its mem
bership. It is likely that similar meet
ingz will be held oftener in future.
