Mrs. Michael Curtain, Plainfield
IU., makes the statement, that she
caught cold, which settled on her
lungs; she was treated for a month
by her family physician, but grew
worse. He told her she was
hopeless victim of consumption
and that no medicine could cure
her. Her druggist suggested Dr
King’s New Discovery for Con
sumption ; she bought a botth
and to her delight found herself
benefitted from first dose. She
continued its use and after taking
six bottles, found herself sound
and well; now does her own house
work, and is as well ns she ever
was. Free trial bottles of this

P. E. Butler, of pack-train 1 o.
, writing from Santiago, de Cu a,
on July 23d, says: “We all lid
diarrhoea in more or less viol nt
form, and when we landed we 1 id
no time to see a doctor, for it \ as
a case of rush and rush night and
day to keep the troops suppled
with ammunition and rations, but
thanks to Chamberlain’s Colic
Cholera and Diarrhoea Remeiy,
we were able to keep at work and
keep our health ; in fact, I sincefe-
ly believe that at one critical tigie
this medicine was the indirect
saviour of our army, for if the
packers had been unable to work
there would have been no way ol
getting supplies to the front. There
were no roads that a wagon train
could use My comrade and my
self had the good fortune to lay in
a supply of this medicine for our
pack-train before we left Tamp^,;
and I know in four cases it abso
lutely saved life.”
The above letter was written to
the manufacturers of this medicine

Des Moines, Iowa. For sale by

Rubbed the Grave.
A startling incident, of which
Mr. John Oliver of Philadelphia,
was the subject, is narrated by
him as follows: “1 was in a most
dreadful condition. My skm was
almost yellow, even sunken, tongue
coated, pain continually in back
and sides, no appetite—gradually
growing weaker day by day. Three
physicians had given me up. For
tunately, a friend advised trying
“Electric Bitters;” and to my
gieat joy and surprise, the first
bottle made a decided improve
ment I continued their use for
three weeks, and am now a well
man I know they saved my life,
and robbed the grave of another
victim,” No one should fail to try
them. Only 50 cents per bottle at
F. U. Lake’s drugstore. 6

POSITIVE PROOF.
A lady friend of mine has for
several years been troubled with
bumps and pimples on her face and
neck, for which she used various
cosmetics in order to remove
them and beautify and improve
the complex on ; but these local
applications were only temporary,
and left her skin in worse condi'l

preparation— known as Botanic
Blood Balm, (B. B. B.), which I

all 'pimples

much improved. She expresses
herself much gratified, and can
recommend it to all who are thus
affected. ”
