ton correspondent of the Daily
Chronicle, with the approval of
General Greely cables the follow-
ing;
The army sailed from Tampa at
noon to-day (Wednesday.) The
force numbers 27,<X)0 men, com-
posed of infantry, cavalry, artil
lery, engineers and a signal corps.
The infantry consists of twenty-
seven regiments, sixteen regulars
and eleven volunteers, as follows:
Of the regular regiments, the
First, Second, Fourth, Sixth, Sev
enth, Eighth, Sixteenth, Seven
teenth, Twenty - first, Twenty-
second, Twenty-fourth and Twenty-
fifth.
Of the volunteer regiments, there
were the Seventy-first New York,

part of Camp Thomas Tuesday
