The many friends of Engineer Neeley will be pleased to know that he is expected home to-night from Charleston. The Coast Line is doing a very heavy business hauling fertilizers. Long linss of loaded freight care pass through Florence daily. The North Bound veetibule passed through at 9:30 this morn ing. The delay was caused by a slight wreck on the 9avdnuah & Charleston railroad. Mr. Reid French, of Wilming ton, has accepted a poutien in the freight department of the Coast Lins at Florence. Mr. J. A. Baskins, who hae been running as engineer on the Cen tral railroad of Mexico, has re* turned to his first love the Coast Line and will go back on his old run at Hartsvilla. Mr. Frank Harrell, of Marion, until recently an efficient assistant at the freight depot in this city left on Tuesday night for the United States Military Academy at West Point. Stackley is making consideratle improvements in his store. He has torn ont all par titions and we understand will put iu shoes and other lines of goods. Borie is an enterprising citizen and Florence needs a few more men just like him. No matter what enterprise is inaugurated in Florence Borie is the first to sub scribe. James Young the well-known tragedian will appear before the Darlington public to-night in “The Love of David Garrick” high comedy. Mr. Young only plays in large towns and would not stop in Dariingtou if hs did not have a guarantee of a crowded louse.
