DIVINE, Gen’l Manager. Gen’I Runt, E. BORDEN, Bupt. Transportation. The roof of St-John’s Episcopal church is receiving a new coat of paint- Monday being the Jewish new year, the store of Messrs. Sulz- bacber and Sou will be closed. The court of Common Pleas is in session to-day. Cases in equity are engaging its attention. Next week jury cases will be taken up- Sheriff McLendon and Solicitor Jno. S. Wilson enjoyed a chase with the hounds early this morn ing. The quarry went on some distance ahead, and the dogs suc ceeded beautifully in running him down. Both the Sheriff and the Solicitor were delighted with their oondnet- The necessary scaffolding is being erected and next week work on the interior of the Methodist church will begin. All the in* terior wood work, including seats, will be repainted ar.d the walls will bt calcimiued. This will be an immense improvement to the church, adding much to its attrac tiveness and comfort.
