There are now reports of the
murder of Christians in Madagas
car.
A broken neck is said to have
been successfully operated upon
in Cleveland, Ohio.
Five hundred people were drown
ed in Kussia recently by the severe
storms and consequent floods.
The Sultan has withdrawn his
consent for the passage of extra
warships for the protection cf the
foreign population.
Bishop Wayman, one of the best
known colored churchmen in the
United States, of the A. M. E.
church, dropped dead Saturday in
Baltimore.
Mrs. Oliver was released on
bond yesterday, it having been se-
red for her. by her council, and
she will remain at her home till

The people of Cheraw are want
ing more railroad facilities and

A murdered Armenian >s said to
have exclaimed with his last breath,
“Is there no soul in any Christian
nation?” The Boston Globe'com

to fail, aud energy to be palsied.”
