DEPUTY WESTMORELAND
AFTER MOONSHINERS.

- On the afternoon of the loth. Deputy
Sheriff Westmoreland made a
raid alone in what is known as Hell
, i
Hole, this county, and discovered in *
the bay a o.uantity of still beer. Mr.
Westmoreland found no one near the
place so he quietly left the place and
returned to Batesburg and secured
the assistance of Federal Agent Youmans.

morning for a further investigation.
These officers -located the still site ,
and destroyed the stUling apparatus j
that was found at the still place to- |
gether with several gallons still beer.
They then got busy with the travel
and trailed one Dolphus McGown to
his home, near. Near the house the 1
