Times are so hard now that you cannot
borrow a .dollar, but you can see
a dollar and >4 quarter hanging to almost
any dog's neck.
The entertainment at Pond Branch
last Saturday^ night was largely attended
ad . Is . always the way when
anything id doing up there, as it seems
that the name "Pond Branch" naturally
draws a large crowd. Just why
we do not know.
Max Crout says "that if the party
or parties that borrowed his grind
rock in his absence, will just put it
back where they taken it from, he
will be very thankful and will ask
no questions." We think Max would
he letting them off too light. Any
man that will stoop that low ought
to have to work on the public works
for aw! ile at least.
