TIME FOR COURAGE.
The man who has been farming
and has come down to the beginning
of winter with little food for himself
and family and who has, in some
case, the prospect of having to give
up what he has made to apply to
overwhelming debts is in a condition
which requires all of courage and all
the grit and determination that there
is in a man to ngnt tnruugu.
Business men in towns and cities
have their troubles and yet the responsibility
for preaching courage
rests none the less on such of these
who have troubles as well as the far
mer.
The man in trouble needs sympathy
even though he has brought it on
himself and if he shows a willingness
and a determination to fight it
r?on trot Thp m.lTl who
UUW liV VU.A4 Dv w ---?
has lost heart and has lost courage
cannot expect the consideration that
his more courageous fellow will be
given.
Let's come together and fight ii
out, hard though it be. And no mat
ter what your own troubles, see if
there is not some way in which you
can help out the other fellow, if he
has the courage and willingness to do
his part. Remember the old saying,
"Heaven helps those who help themselves."?Exchange.
Hard to Please.
"Say," protested the disgusted
patron, "this show is not worth $2."
"Didn't you see the leading man
embrace the leading lady in the third
act?"
"Of course I did."
"Well, he squeezed her so hard he
broke a rib. What do you want for
$2?"
