JUSTICE TO FOX.
Of th.e three practically self-confessed
murderers of William Brazell
many people who hoard the testimony
; ~ believe thgit Fox was the more truth-*
ful of t**f' three?that he was really
more of f. man than his two companions
In crime. It seems incredible
v > 'v; ' ' that the supreme court would be likely
to upset so righteous a verdict as
? .Tjfas rendered by a Lexington county!
jury in this celebrated case. But in
any event, .the guilt of the three was^
equal and .they merit a like punishment.
It is not fair to society that
their execution be long delayed, but
,y
neither is. .it fair that Fox should be
usent to death while the others escape
.at least temporarily their just deserts.
The sentence of Fox should be stayed
v
Until the appeals of the other two
. have been passed upon. The people i
v .,
believe that ultimately justice will be
done. Justice has said that all three
a deserve death. They should meet it
together as they stood together on the
$$ night when they brutally killed an in'
y . offensive boy who pleaded for his life.
