STILlL thinks of old times in lexington .White Rock, S. C., Aug. 4, 1921. . . Dear Mr. Editor: Though 1 am now a citizen of Richland county and 1 am very* well pleased with the transfer, yet I have never forgotten old Lexington and the many kindnesses shown Vie in the county of my birth. If I am permitted to live two more weeks, I will have reached my eighty-first mile stone. I feel it a duty to show those who are living of my old friends, my appreciation for the kindness shown me in the past. To those who have passed over the tiver, I hope sure resting in eternal peace. I should be glad to mention the names of my old friends in Lexington, but my. memory is too short and space would not ad mit. But I recall the names around the town "bf Lexington, viz: Caughmans, Hendrlxes, Meetze, Harmons, Corleys, Roberts, Bflrd, Drafts, Roofs, Graham and many more too numerous to iqentlon. Have just heard of the death of my old time friend, Judge George S. Drafts. Judge Drafts and I served as county commissioners for Lexington county from 1882 to 1884. Our business and social relations were very * pleasant and harmonious. ' J. extend my sincere sympathy to the bereaved family and friends of the deceased. I too recall "Dick" Addy, who served on the board with me from ^ - 1884 to 1886. "Dick" has been a verv close friend of mine for a lium ber of years. I have a very warm feeling for my old friends who are left in Lexington county and remember them very pleasantly. With' very kindest regards to all, Respectfully, ; ' . J. BRETON SHEALY.
