VALUE OF A TECHNICAL
EDUCATION
A technical education is the best
insurance against hard times. In (
earning capacity, it may equal an ?
estate of $50,000. For the un- r
trained are the positions of poverty s
and obscurity. j
Times are hard in South Caro- t
lina, but the cost of an education
at Clemson College is comparatively
low,?sufficiently low to be *
within the reach of any ambitious t
young man in South Carolina. z
C
Scholarships, free tuition and
the payment by the United States
Government to R. O. T. C. stu- C
dents, still further reduce the
cost.
c
Do not allow the financial difficulties

VTLL BE CONSIDERED IN ORDER
Sunday night to preaching.
There was quite a large "crowd at
Sunday school ?and practicing Sunday <
evening.
Mr. Lawrence Taylor and wife
spent Sunday with their sister, Mrs.
Berley Leaphart.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kelly also
Mr. Sidney Lewis and family dined
with Mr. Tom Anderson Sunday.
When you get in a crowd it is
boll weevil and hard times. Whyshould
we worry? If we do what
God's word teaches us, we would not
worry; if we do our part God will
surely do his part. If you will read
the 12th chapter of Luke and 31st
verse you will find these words: "But
rather seek ye the kingdom of God,
and all these things shall be added
unto you." Let us hush hard times
and seek God's kingdom is my motto.
There will be practicing for the
Children's day Saturday evening at 3
o'clock, July 2, at Pleasant Hill.
The children's day will be announced
later.
Mr. James Long and wife spent
Saturday night with their mother,
Mrs. J. D. Taylor.
Thre will be conference at Pleasant
Hill Baptist church Saturday
evening, July 2, at 5 o'clock. All
