AMERICAN LEGION
POST NUMBER 7.
We are very much surprised and
grieved to learn, that it is being, whispered
or talked, by some people that
our rooms, or quarters, are nothing
but a gambling joint.
The name, American juegion, wunin
its self, should mean more to you
than your title. It not only stands
for the men and boys who fought and
would have died for you but for the
greater portion of America,s besti
manhood and the ideals of a true
American citizen.
We have given the general public
an opportunity to visit and inspect
our quarters on special occasions and
they also stand "I'or inspection at anyj
time.
We would thank you who have
formed this opinion to make yourselves
satisfied and correct your erroneous
statements.
Preamble of the National Constitution
of the American Legion:
For God and country, we associate
ourselves together for the following
purposes:
To uphold and defend the Constitution
of the United States of America;
to maintain law and order; to
foster and perpetuate a one hundred
per cent Americanism; to preserve
the memories and incidents of our
association in tne ureat war; to inculcate
a sense of individual obligation
to the community, state and nation;
to combat the autocracy of both
the classes and the masses; to make
right the master of might; to promote
peace and good will on earth; to safeguard
and transmit to posterity the
principles of justice, freedom and
democracy; to consecrate and sanctify
our comradeship by ,our devotion to
mutual helpfulness.

Chronic Constipation.
This condition is usually brought 011
by neglect. Neglect to drink as much
water as a healthy person requires,
which is three pints each day. Neglect
to take enough exercise to keep
the body in a healthy condition. Neg
lect to establish a regular habit of
having the bowels move once each
day, whether there is an inclination
or not. It is obvious, that to cure
chronic constipation .you must first q
correct your habits. Chamberlain's
Tablets are excellent but will not
cure you permanently, when these
neglects are persisted in. Begin now.
Get well and stay well.
