Coach Stuart having failed to make known the time of his arrival, the students could not carry out the proposed plan of meeting him at Calhoun. This* was somewhat a disappointment to the students, but they tendered him a warm reception in chapel on Monday night. The attendance at this meeting was one hundred per cent. oach Stuart ex | pressed this determination to put Clemson's name foremost in Intercollegiate Athletics of the South. The basket "ball quintet have set a rapid pace for Tiger Athletics. The Varsity Fve have been victorious in all games played with the exception of one game which was lost to the University of Georgia. A ''Fire-fighters Feed" was given to the members of the cadet-corps on last Friday night. This supper was one of the most bounteous, as well as best, that has ever been given in the mess hall. Music was furnished by the cadet band. ?Cadet J. A. Dowling of Swansea and a member of the senior class lias been promoted from a 2nd Lieutenant of Company "A" to a 1st Lieutenant of Company "B".
