THE REASONABLENESS
, OP GHRSmANITY
In one of his "Success Talks foi
Boys," Editor Clarence Poe of Th<
Progressive Parmer says.
"We are born Into a creation wrap'
ped around with the mystery of In>
finity and Eternity. It is a creatioi
"bigger than our hunfttn minds can un
derstand. In other words, in even
night God whispers to mian that h<
was botn for something bigger thai
earth, something more enduring thai
time. No wonder Napoleon ^ Bona
parte, when some Infidels arguei
with him one night, pointed up t<
tne starry sky and answered: "Wh(
then made all that?" And no won
der Lord Bacon declared that he hat
rather believe any fable ever writtei
than believe that the earth and heav
ens developed by mere chance or ac
cident.
Granting1 then that there is a God
* it Is not also reasonable that H<
should wish to mlake some revelatlor
of Himself to His creatures? And 11
He has so revealed Himself, what reIgion
seems most like a genuine revelation?
What religion offers the noblest
and most ennobling conception cl
God?Buddhism, Mohammedanism*
Judaism, or Christianity? No one who
has studied them with unbiased mind,
;iI think,, can be in doubt on this point.
Nor do I think of anything more
reasonable than the coming of Christ
to earth. Wlhy should not a God who
loved His creatures soy, l**Liet Me

the' humble life of a man for tjiree
and thirty years. Let Me show men
the glory of duty and sacrifice by Myself
living a human life of duty and
sacrifice."

No man, of course, can answer 1

r this fashion: Our physical body grows J

To love God, to love eternal j,

C gion. I seriously doubt whether the
Almighty ever hears a self-centered v

that it is. The church is the organized
