with Adjutant Gen. Harris the matter
of the distribution of the Mexican
Border Service Medal, which is now
available for distribution, and has rereceived
the following: letter from the
General which will be of Interest to
those who served on the Mexican Border
in 1916 and 1917 with the National
Guard. :
"Referring' to your letter of the
17th instant requesting: information as
to how the National Guard men in
your District may procure the Mexican
Border Service Medal, I have the
honor to Inform you that applications
for this medal should be made in dupnn

by making application to the
Adjutant General of the Army, Washington,
D. C. Enclosed herewith are
a few application blanks for your use.
The Mexican Border Service Medal
is awarded to any officer or enlisted
iftan of the National Guard who, under
orders of the President, served on
the Mexican border in the years 1916

man of the Regular Army who, under
orders of the President, served as a
member of the Mexican border patrol
